Mothers of Tradition is a culturally oriented educational program that helps Native women understand the impact of historical trauma and the legacy of the boarding school on parenting skills and the ability of parents to express love for their children. The workbook, which accompanies the 3-day training provides mind maps, the Four Laws of Change and the Healing Forest model, cultural teachings, guides to relationships within the family, thought processes, self-talk, and opportunities to explore the traditional role of mothers as first teachers. 130 ppt.
